RECS Energy Certificate Association (RECS) is dedicated to tackling climate change by accelerating the transition to 100% renewable energy systems. We do this by supporting the development of new energy attribute certificate (EAC) markets and strengthening those already in place. RECS collaborates with its members and other like-minded organisations to achieve these goals.

Now or Never!
Renewables markets at a crossroads
A critical moment for renewables. At the same time as the business case for renewables becomes stronger than ever, governments around the world are limiting efforts to build sustainable energy systems. The climate crisis does not slow down, but mitigation efforts are off track. Designed to spark decisive dialogue and action, this year’s event will help shape not only your understanding of the role of EACs but also the future trajectory of global renewable energy markets.

A record of success.

For well over a decade, the RECS Market Meeting has stood as a leading forum for renewable energy professionals. Each year, the event continues to grow, bringing together an increasing number of delegates, experts, and industry leaders from across the renewable energy sector. Following two remarkable years at the Beurs van Berlage and a long tradition of hosting in Amsterdam, RMM2026 will embark on a new chapter at the Prague Conference Centre in Prague, the Czech Republic. Along with a great new venue, this event will enjoy a new programme structure, new session styles, and new prospects for delegates and sponsors. The 2026 edition will challenge assumptions, inspire new thinking, and drive meaningful progress in how EACs can support consumer demand for renewables. Join us in Prague for insightful sessions, inspiring speakers, and unparalleled networking with professionals shaping the future of renewable energy. Download the RMM2026 Brochure.

lock lock A joint RECS and Energy Traders Europe biomethane contracts workshop for RECS and EFET members
RECS and Energy Traders Europe invite our members to join an in-depth, practical workshop on how standard biomethane agreements can support both current trading and anticipated developments in biomethane markets. The workshop's speakers will address key questions, including:
  • How each agreement functions, and why
  • How the agreements support the effective and efficient trade and transfer of GOs/POS
  • How we may update the agreements in response to the implementation of the UDB
  • How the agreements interact with prevailing biomethane certificate systems, such as the AIB gas issuers scheme
  • How GO/POS can be recognised for regulatory compliance with national schemes such as the German THG.
Workshop attendees will be able to participate in a constructive discussion on biomethane market risks and opportunities, and how standard contracts can help to address them. Attendees will also gain an understanding of which agreement may be the most suitable for their needs. The workshop speakers are:
  • Dagmara Dragan of Energy Traders Europe
  • Adam White of RECS Energy Certificate Association
  • Andreas Gunst and Kenneth Wallace-Mueller of DLA Piper
  • Filip Strohwasser of CEZ on the practical use of the respective contracts.
This workshop is for RECS and Energy Traders Europe members only, is free to attend, and will be delivered in a hybrid format. In-person participation is possible on 1 June, in the Prague Conference Centre from 14:00 to 17:00 - the day before the RECS Market Meeting in the same venue. For those unable to join us in Prague, it will be possible to join via Teams video conference.

RECS Members can sign up here.
