As GO markets continue to expand, market players have become aware of potentially fraudulent practices and actors. 

On the 10th of March RECS International presented the "Article 19 Implemention Document" at the General Meeting in Amsterdam.

France is introducing an auction system for Guarantees of Orgin. The first French GO auctioning will take place in September 2019. 

From 17 – 21 June 2019 the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is taking place again in Brussels. This year’s theme: Shaping Europe’s Energy Future. RECS International will be co-organizing one of the sessions during the Policy Conference, which will be held from 18-20 June.

On 11-13 March the 9th edition of the REC Market Meeting was held in Amsterdam. The conference was attended by over 400 people from 36 countries, showing the increasing recognition of the importance of demand-side markets for renewable energy. 

In October 2018 RECS International published an infographic of international EAC issuers. 

Earlier this year an error in the French translation of the RED-2 Article 19 on Guarantees of Origin was detected by a member of the RECS International board.

The Dutch GO issuer CertiQ will comply with a ruling from the provisional relief court of the Trade and Industry Appeals Tribunal in the Netherlands requiring it to recognise GOs from the United Kingdom.
