RECS International has updated its work programme and an abbreviated version is now available to its members. 

In a recent newsletter RECS International announced the upcoming auction of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) in France. The French Issuing Body of GOs, Powernext, has been tasked by the French authorities to run monthly auctions for Guarantees of Origin from French renewable power generators who benefit from national support schemes.

RECS International will be co-hosting the session  “Decarbonisation at Least Cost: Renewables Beyond Support” during the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW), held in Brussels in June. 

As GO markets continue to expand, market players have become aware of potentially fraudulent practices and actors. 

On the 10th of March RECS International presented the "Article 19 Implemention Document" at the General Meeting in Amsterdam.

France is introducing an auction system for Guarantees of Orgin. The first French GO auctioning will take place in September 2019. 

From 17 – 21 June 2019 the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is taking place again in Brussels. This year’s theme: Shaping Europe’s Energy Future. RECS International will be co-organizing one of the sessions during the Policy Conference, which will be held from 18-20 June.

On 11-13 March the 9th edition of the REC Market Meeting was held in Amsterdam. The conference was attended by over 400 people from 36 countries, showing the increasing recognition of the importance of demand-side markets for renewable energy.
