RECS supports the implementation of full consumption disclosure across Europe and has made the case for including full consumption disclosure in the European Union's 'Fit for 55' package, which is currently being debated in the European institutions.

On April 5 & 6 , 2022, the 10th edition of the REC Market Meeting took place at the NH Collection hotel Grand Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The conference, selling out two weeks before the conference date, was a great success, with over 450 delegates attending from 41 countries.

The International REC Standard Foundation (I-REC Standard) has announced their first, international conference to be held on 1 and 2 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. The I-REC Standard is a non-profit organization that provides a robust standard for developing attribute tracking systems.
