With success of the 9th edition of the REC Market Meeting still fresh in our minds we are already working towards the next edition behind the scenes. This upcoming REC Market Meeting will mark the tenth anniversary, with plenty to look back at and even more to focus on for the times ahead.

With the support of Qui Est Vert, RECS International has translated the guidance document on the implementation of Article 19 of the Renewable Energy Directive.

The Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) has published the Residual Mixes and European Attribute Mix of 2018. The calculation was carried out by Grexel Systems Ltd on behalf of AIB, assisted by Ostfoldforskning and Ecoinvent. 

On 28 November 2019 the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) and RECS International are jointly organizing the Open Markets Committee (OMC). On 29 November 2019 RECS International will be organizing the RECS General Meeting. Both meetings will be held in Luxembourg.

Article 19 of the recast EU Renewable Energy Directive (EU 2018/2019), which entered into force at the end of 2018, both expands the use of Guarantees of Origin in the EU and strengthens the systems that support their use. RECS International has created a detailed analysis of the Article, setting out its headline priorities for the article’s implementation by EU Member States, and providing detailed guidance on how these priorities can be achieved.
