The European Commission’s proposals for amending the Renewable Energy Directive to make it ‘Fit for 55’ include important changes related to Guarantees of Origin. While RECS International supports the retention of these new provisions, it is also calling on European legislators to include a further provision, which would significantly boost renewable energy markets by implementing full consumption disclosure in all European single market countries.
