RECS has prepared a skeleton response text to share RECS’ main answers for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) Scope 2 public consultation, which was announced on 20 October. The public consultation is a critical component of GHG Protocol’s Standard Development and Revision Procedure, providing an opportunity for all stakeholders to contribute feedback on key topics.

RECS’ skeleton response text sets out RECS’ answers to the consultation questions. This skeleton text provides stakeholders with a practical reference as they prepare their own submissions and may be supplemented with organisations’ own data, evidence, and perspectives. RECS will continue to refine its own submission and welcomes such evidence and examples from our stakeholders to support our message.

In parallel, RECS has developed a consultation guide (access the pdf here) that outlines key arguments by topic and question number. The guide is designed to support respondents in navigating the survey and contextualising the discussion. We hope this will help you to align your response with the main technical and practical considerations raised in the consultation. Together, these resources will support informed participation and constructive engagement in the Scope 2 revision process.
