The FaStGO project, in which RECS International is a partner, invites stakeholders to respond to a survey on the development and provision of statistical data on GO markets. Your responses will help the FaStGO Project make recommendations to the European Commission as to how the GO system can be supported through more consistent, comprehensive, and clearly presented data.
The FaStGO project provides expert advice to the European Commission on the development of GO markets and supports the revision of the European standard for guarantees of origin. This survey is a key element of the 4th part of this project, which recognises that all GO market stakeholders benefit from high-quality guarantee of origin statistics. Statistics provide an overview of the market and show how it is developing. To operate as efficiently as possible, market actors require a good understanding of the balance of supply and demand of GOs. Furthermore, Competent Authorities and Issuing Bodies use the statistics for reporting purposes as well as for surveillance and the detection of possible anomalies. Based on earlier FaStGO consultations, we know that market participants and other stakeholders appreciate the AIB’s publications of consistent, standardised, and synchronised statistics. We are therefore seeking to understand how the provision of such information can be further strengthened.
