The OMC will be held in Dessau, Germany on Wednesday, 21 May 2025
The OMC (Open Markets Committee) is an in-person meeting for both RECS Members and members of the Association of Issuing Bodies. It provides both member groups with the opportunity to meet and discuss developments in and interactions between European Guarantee of Origin (GO) systems and markets.
This year’s OMC will be held in Dessau, Germany, on Wednesday, 21 May 2025, at The UBA | Umweltbundesamt.

14:10-14:50 | Current situation in GO systems – what is coming next from the AIB and its members? A presentation and discussion of new EECS rules and data fields that could impact the GO market
14:50-15:30 | Future developments in GO markets – an update on recent market developments, results from the recent market survey, and discussion on how changing disclosure periods could address oversupply in the market

16:00-16:40 | Modernising EAC systems and markets – a presentation of RECS’ survey to benchmark and compare the performance of AIB member registries and discussion of key points, followed by a presentation of the new AIB hub and statistics and discussion of key points.
16:40-17:20 | The challenging debate on location-based and market-based disclosure – a presentation of the findings of the REGADISS project, followed by a discussion of the development of international standards for EAC systems and how to resist growing advocacy for a move towards location-based disclosure.
