CEPS, a leading think tank and forum for debate on EU affairs, has published the paper “The Disclosure of Guarantees of Origin: Interactions with the 2030 Climate and Energy Framework”.
The report considers the position of the GO in the forthcoming EU legislation and makes a number of policy recommendations such as the merging of elements of the Electricity Directive and the Renewables Directive in their relation to disclosure and the need for both reporting on the national production of renewables as well as the national consumption of renewables.
RECS International applauds the attention given to consumer choice in the electricity market and supports CEPS in their call for greater regulation surrounding the use of Guarantee of Origin.
