RECS International will be holding a general meeting on 12 March 2018 from 18:00 - 19:00. It will take place at the Krasnapolsky hotel in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where the REC Market Meeting conference is held.
On Thursday 30 November the Open Markets Committee (OMC) will be organised jointly by the Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) and RECS International. On 1 December RECS International is organizing a RECS International General meeting for RECS members and invited stakeholders. Both meetings will take place in Vienna, Austria.

25 September 2017 - London: Seminar on the developments of REC/GO markets in the UK and internationally (registration closed)
RECS International, in conjuction with Agder Energi, is organising a seminar on global energy attribute certificate tracking systems, with a specific focus on the UK tracking systems. The seminar will provide an introduction to these systems and continue to discuss the impact of European regulation (notably developments of the RED II).
Corporate companies are increasingly sourcing renewables from Taiwan. These developments require the implementation of robust energy attribute tracking systems and an improvement of the system that is now in place.
RECS International in conjunction with CDP Japan are hosting a workshop on attribute tracking systems and their role in Japan.
A number of questions have been raised regarding the classification of GOs in the context of the MiFID II implementation, with RECS Members looking in particular at the treatment of EU Allowances as a financial instrument or regulatory activity under MIFID II. If GOs are covered by national legislation implementing MiFID II, there are a number of consequences regarding the scope of exempted trading activities or the need for authorisation, as well as regarding reporting and internal compliance processes.
The Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) and REScoop.EU are hosting the session “Involving consumers in the energy transition – accountability, CSR and carbon accounting” during the EU Sustainlable Energy Week (EUSEW).
Corporates are increasingly taking own initiatives when it comes to improving their sustainability profiles. They see sustainability activities as a means of improving their competitive advantages. The increase of Power Purchase Agreements suits as a nice example for this. This seminar zooms in on these matters. The seminar is Dutch-spoken.
